    Sig P238 Grip

Back around Christmas I was looking to individualize my stock grips which I didn't care for.

I inlaid the dice and painted the grips with Krylon Stone Obsidian then put a clear coat on them after a full 7 days of dry time.

The question became will they hold up durability wise. After 4 1/2 months and 1/2 dozen trips shooting, I'm please to report no issues. No chipping, gouging or wear off. The savings allowed me to buy the extended mag here

I had the clear coat spray can, so I was only out $10 bucks for the Krylon.

Lightly sand, acetone and spray. Clear is a must imo.

The grips that come on the two-tone model are gawd-awful, I took mine off 20 seconds after I brought it home. Hadn't thought of modifying them, I just put hogues on and called it a day (which I'm happy with). But your modded ones look neat and unique - certainly better than the hideous factory ones.

For anyone who doesn't know what those grips looked like from the factory:

Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Those came out really nice! Do they add a little width to the grip? It'd be nice if they give a better feel in the hand.
I see your swartz is as big as mine, now let's see how well you handle it

The texture feels nice, the dice are flush.

As you can see the grooves are still apparent so no, width changed very minimally.

Nice work on the dice inlay . When you have to pull your pistol you can tell your adversary,, "You feel lucky? Well I do!"

If you use Krylon acrylic clear it will provide a level of protection that should last a bit. Don't let common gun cleaning solvent touch it. Not even a drop.
