Have a new G34. First trip to the range, it would fail to eject or fail to feed on nearly every magazine. Always the first or second round. I was shooting "Federal Champion" 115 grain 9mm, new out of the 100 round packs (Walmart). Same issue with both mags.
Subsequently I have run three other brands of 115 gr. through it without issue -- Remington, Freedom Munitions, and the house brand stuff from a local range. No malfunctions with any of that ammo. Then I put some Federal Champion in it and dang, at least one malfunction on almost every magazine.
I am more than a little surprised, because the same ammo has always been flawless in every pistol I have used it in. And after hearing all the talk about the legendary reliability of the Glock, I finally buy one, and thus far it is the least reliable pistol I have owned (of many).
I did clean and lube it when new, and after the first trip I disassembled the slide and thoroughly cleaned the extractor.
What are your thoughts -- is it just the case that Glock is picky about cheap Walmart ammo, or should I look at this as a problem with the pistol?
