    XD mag release question

I just picked up my first .45 XD, it is so much nicer to hold than my G41 but the mag release is kind of stiff and short.
I have an extended release on my 9mm XD's that I like and want to add one to my .45 but I'm not sure if it takes a bigger one or the same one as the 9mm.
Are they different or the same part?

I have one from Springer in my XD 9 Tactical. On their site they only list one so I'm guessing they are the same.

      They are the same.
The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.

I agree that they are stiff. I have an 9mm Sub-compact and Tactical. Does the extended help loosen it up a bit, or will they wear in a bit over time?

I have the drop in trigger kit they make in my xd45 and love it. I will probably be getting that extended mag release next.

I have an XD9 and an XD45, both full size, and the mag release seems to lighten up over time. My XD9 4" Service model's mag release has definitely broken in. I would say it was noticeable around the 500 round mark. I only have about 200 rounds on my XD45 and I would say it is still tight but sort of feels lighter than when it was new.
