    Help Me With This Luger

Can someone help me ID this Luger, as in where it was made etc? I would also like to know the value of it as well.

It's a Mauser, made in Germany, price all depends on what someone is willing to pay. Look at G.B. $1000 and up unless its really in poor shape then less.

It looks to be in great shape. Do all the numbers match? All matching including magazine original would be around $1250-$1500. Non matching or import marked would be consider a shooter which is about $600-750.

With two matching mags the price can go up to $2k. Be sure the magazines are not fakes as this is the easiest way to increase the value. Do you have a holster also. If so then it could hit $2500 for a rig.

I really want one of these!

My friends wife's grandfather served in WWII and picked one of these off an officer he killed. He made it through the war with out firing it and now they have it locked up in a case complete with all the bullets that were in it when he found the weapon. To my knowledge it's never been fired since it left that dead officers hands.

1938 S/42 all matching including 2 matching mags, assuming it wasn't messed with in any way, sell for $2,000-$3,000+ depending on condition. In this economy though, it might be tough.

If you want more detail, post your pics over at www.lugerforum.com. Very helpful folks over there who are pretty knowledgeable about all things Luger.
