    Truck gun?

I went on a long off road trip Valentines day with the wife and kids in the Nevada BLM land.I always bring a gun with me I had my Charter Bulldog and my Ruger Single Six.Alot of people up here by cheap guns to keep while four wheeling.I was thinking of a P89 or P90 ruger as a truck gun something I can throw in a holster and beat up in the desert. What do you guys think?

I take my glock. It was ugly when new and I think the scratches and dings make it look better. I beat the hell out of that thing and it still shoots great. Ruger makes great rimfires but otherwise I'm not impressed with their firearms.

there is a small chance you might actually have to use it. I wouldn't pick a piece of unreliable crap. Don't take something heavy, you'll get tired of carry. cheap is good. easy to clean. easy to carry ammo. fun to plink with.

Rugers are the AKs of the handgun world. I have a P94 in 9mm and it has never had a single hiccup, no FTF, FTE, nothing in over 1k rounds. It will go bang every single time and will eat any ammo that you feed it!

The trigger may not be the best but is fine once you get used to the long pull. Don't listen to the haters, a P89 or P90 will not fail you in any way.

Here's mine, for $300 it was an absolutely great buy:

Rugers are getting higher and higher priced. A gun is like a marrage, you do what feels right, and dont ever let anyone else use her. Get somthing you can stand for the rest of your life. If you are looking for a throw away thats another storty.
