What I meant to say is most popular dealers sell the g19 and g17 for $499. That is a brand new one , untouched, without frog lube and no body practiced Navy Seal with it.

I let you guess how much a used glock from 1992 is worth. Not very much unfortunately.

Now, If you are selling, post it in the sales forum and add some of the usual props; Low round count, rare!!, and give a weired reason, tack driver, no ftf what so ever, race springs, etc. Some glock collector will buy it for a lot more than it is worth.

Low round count G17s gen 2, with an extra 10rd factory magazine will fetch about 350 on a fast sale, 400 on an average wait for the average buyer and 450 on a long wait, waiting for that guy who will buy yours to save 50 over a new purchase of 500.

You can push 600 on a very long wait for a pristine Gen 2 with all paperwork, tuperware and cleaning rod / brush. You are waiting for that Glock collector who needs the best Gen2 G17 he can find and picks yours.

You need to use glocktalks serial number identifier to fancy up your sale ad. Collectors love seeing all the info on what they are buying before they buy.

$499.00 becomes $550.00 after taxes. And you're still one mag short, so make it $575.00

Now if you go to GSSF and use their offer, you get LEO prices ($425.00) and it usually comes with three magazines.

Warranty isn't really an issue with Glock. I had a frame replaced under warranty on a high-round count g34 gen3 I bought used. My problem was that after the repair shipping and DROS it basically cost me the same as a new gun, and I lost that sweet broken in trigger even though I kept the aftermarket connector. I'm only a bit ahead on the deal because of the spare KKM barrel I got with it.

I imagine the only issue would be whether Glock has spare frames or parts of your generation still available.

Whether it's something you're willing to pay or not is not my issue, I was just doing the math out loud, and citing other options.

For that little difference, I'm buying new. But that's me.

Also consider the 30 day wait, which does not apply to a PPT, and the psychological effect that has on pricing. I would be much more willing to pay $500 for a used glock that came up for sale right after I just purchased another new handgun, and therefore had to wait 30 days before buying another new handgun. But if I was outside of my 30 day wait window, I'd probably just buy a new glock for $550.

Let me clarify.

I'm buying new for less than $50.00 difference, unless there's something on the used gun I like, for instance a decent set of adjustable sights..., sorry, nothing else comes to mind on Glocks.

And that your Glock is still on roster. If it's not on the roster and they have to change the frame it becomes off roster and you've lost your gun.
