    My CZ 75 SP-01

Had an hour to kill today so I took some photo of my new SP-01.

I'm a photographer but this is not the type of stuff I ever shoot. I shoot people for hire. Mostly actor and business head shots. I don't do product photography like this ever.

Have to play around with the lighting a little more. Wish the front end had just a tad more detail in the shadows.

Thought I'd share with you all.

        HAHA. Thanks for compliment.

We (photogs) are a weird bunch. We are either really full of ourselves or very critical of ourselves when it comes to our own photography.

Great photo. Perfect key light position to get the accents on the slide. And the ambient glow from the brass is a home run. Was it a single light setup or did you have a reflector at camera left?

I think the lack of fill that adds the darkness near the muzzle adds a mysterious quality and directs focus to the slide and grip...and that rail is just lurking there. Very nice work.

Thanks. Yes. It's a one light setup. I used a large gridded strip box for the key. I tilted at a 45 degree angle on camera right, slightly behind the grip of the gun.

I used a gold reflector to fill the sides of the gun that were facing camera left, like the rail, the front of the grip, etc. I actually took 4 different shots, moving the reflector with each shot. I then blended the shots manually in post.

I'm gonna try some more shots tomorrow using gels. See how they look.

Btw, the gun is sitting on my leather jacket.

Whew! When I read you shoot people for hire, I thought you might be an assassin! Lol Great pic! Now, get that pistol Cajunized like I did. You won't regret it one bit.

                              Haha. That's funny.

Want to get more rounds with it before I decide on mods.
