1911R off roster?

I was recently considering selling my Sig Sauer 1911R Tacops, so I've been looking at some of the more recent listings to get an idea of what it would sell for. All of the recent listing say that it is off roster. Does anyone have any idea of what has changed to make this gun off roster?

could be several things

if the pistol was on the roster before then likely it was taken off because the company decided it wasn't worth the fee (extortion) California was charging them to keep it on the roster. every different model, including different colors or two tone, are listed separately and have different fees

if it wasn't, then its because the laws and restrictions passed by California don't allow even the classic 1911 to be sold because its not 'safe' and they didnt get their 'fee'

BTW, all Sig 1911s are the same as far as build. The only thing that makes them different from each other are the colors/finish, caliber, etc. It's not like you're getting a carbon slide and stainless frame for an off roster version.

Don't think that just because it's off roster, it's made better. They're all stainless slide and frames with match barrels. I personally wouldn't pay more for an off roster version (I have a Stainless Rail) since there's nothing different about them...Unless of course you're trying to get a caliber other than .45ACP.
