The ergonomics on my P227 are amazing. It became my nightstand gun after the first time I shot it.

How is the recoil on the 227 is it pretty good cause of the weight of the pistol?

It is a really soft shooting .45 although I've never had much of an issue with the recoil from a .45

OK that's good to know I'm leaning towards the 229 as it would be for carry but it's amazing to getting into the higher end firearms such as Sig, I've only owned striker fire pistols like Glock m&p and XD series

....

I hope the DA/SA doesn't turn you off being Striker fire guy you are.
