Taurus PT92 AF ten round mags

In 1996 my grandfather died and I inherited my first pistol ( a 1980's Taurus PT92AF) since July is rapidly approaching I find myself looking for ten round mags for it. Does anyone know if the current taurus pt92/99 ten rounders will fit?

Should not be an issue. I bought newer mags for my bought in 1987 Taurus a few years ago and they were fine. Trying to use a Beretta 92SF mag is a no go unfortunately.

Much obliged for the info! I also tried some of my beretta mags and was pretty disappointed when they didn't work.

Yep, the PT92 mags are the same. I looked at swapping a mag release between my Beretta and Taurus (I didn't care which way) but mag catches don't interchange between Beretta and Taurus. You can modify the magazines themselves but I wasn't interested in that.

You can notch the Beretta mags to fit. Line the Taurus mags and Beretta mags up Mark where needed to work with a dremil.

if you have original mags you can easily block them as well so you can keep them.

+1 on the Mec-Gar mags. Works perfectly in my 1987 PT-99.

I also bought a cheap no-name one at the OC Gun show last year. It works, but catches against the mag disconnect when inserting it. Made me appreciate the Mec-Gar one even more.

BTW: you'll hear of lot of Taurus hate around. The PT-92/99 platform is great.

Thanks fuys.. I think I might try blocking the magazines.. anyone know if the blocks need to epoxied or will a few drops of CA glue to hold it in place work from a legal standpoint.. it would be nice to keep my original mags with the nickel bottom plates.. I love that taurus btw.. its just as accurate as anything else I have and after a little polishing on the fire control surfaces the trigger pulmonary is just dreamy. I will admit that a friend of mine has basically the same model just made twenty years later and it's far less accurate than mine.
