    HK Sear Axle

Anyone here notice their sear axle slowly walk it's way to the left? Sometimes I catch this happening on the USP and MK23. Nothing crazy, but it's a little annoying.

I was thinking of applying a type of grease to loosely keep it in place. It's not just falling out, but it's not difficult to manipulate with my finger.

Anyone think my idea of applying grease on the sear axle may compromise the polymer frame?

There's some movement, but the slide prevents it from moving enough to do anything bad. Seems to happen with LEM more because there's no safety detent plate like the other versions which add some lateral tension to the axle. Grease won't harm the polymer but I don't think it'll hold the axle any better.

SLide keeps it contained. No issue as far as I can tell.

I only bring this up because I always grease the slide rails and oil the pivoting parts before and after my range trips. I noticed with the Mk23 every now and then the slide stops against the sear axle and I have to push it back into place.

The last thing I want to do is get complacent and score the crap out of my slide from a spirited day at the range.

I'll pop the sear axle in with some grease. It may not stop it walking off axis altogether, but at least mitigate it to a degree.
