I believe the SF stands for Special Forces. Not exactly sure what the P stands for. Pistol maybe?

      HK SFP9 L (VP9 Longslide!!)

SFP could be just an abbreviation of Striker Fired Pistol.

      Edit:

The SF in the SFP9-SF stands for Special Force.

It has nothing to do with Special Forces.

We can't have it because it doesn't incorporate micro-stamping, as required by statute.

It doesn't incorporate micro-stamping because micro-stamping doesn't exist in the real world.

Considering all the drop tests online show it fail to fire after being dipped in water and slide cracks for being dropped from waist high I would guarantee no Special forces use this weapon. One hell of a shooter and great ergos but isn't meant to be a tool box gun.

Currently, there has been no announcement for civilian sales or plans on importation into the USA.
Which is why they are not listed on the H&K Germany civilian section website or on the H&K USA website.

Speculations are USA importation will be announced at this year's NRA Annual Meeting/Convention.
H&K USA just posted the VP-9SK on their website and lists it as "coming soon".

                        Nothing yet on a VP-9L (SFP-9L).
