    Colt SAA

Anyone bought a new one lately? I just ordered one at San Jose Gun Exchange - in 45 Colt, 7.5" bbl and color case hardened frame - and I guess I'm hoping to hear they look sharp as hell and work properly.

I have been thinking about buying one but have not made the plunge yet. is the one you got something they happened to have in the display case or did you have to order it?

I'm an enthusiastic fan of Colt SAA's amd single-action wheelguns in general.

It may not be modern, it may be slow to reload, but in the right hands with practice it can get the job done on the target range or the field. It's not even the worst choice for a HD gun.

I bought one about 5 years ago and the bluing was terrible. I also bought a USFA and they build Colts better than Colt at a much better price.

Not from the case, asked them to order one for me. I've heard the USFA version is very good also, if the Colt doesn't look right I suppose I'd go with them.
