^^^ that edge between the bottom of the of the ramp slot and the Vertical impact surface should have a chamfer. Kind of surprised it isn't there. Did they put one on that edge after you got it back? And now I see you already mentioned the relief cut... should have read you post better.

And for some reason your barrel link seems weird to me.

Yes, they replaced the barrel and cut a nice chamfer on the VIS. The interesting part was trying to explain the issue to the customer service rep over the phone. Once they understood the issue the repair was very quick (8 days from when I shipped it to when I got it back).

I bet. Was your barrel link altered in any way? The slide stop pin hole seems to be enlarged, or elongated.

In any case, thank you for responding to me on Youtube. I still can't believe how awesome of a shooter you are. Wish you were closer so I could have you try my 9mm commander.

It came back with a new barrel, link, and link pin, so I don't know if there was an issue with the link. The slide stop hole on the frame is fine though.

If the original link was too long that would increase impact in that area. With folks rebarreling 38 Sups to 9mm or vice verse should watch the timing of the barrel unlocking. If such a problem exist it usually doesn't show up until a thousand rounds or more is fired, depending on quality of barrel the barrel feet may just shear off.

If anyone is considering getting some work done I highly recommend 1911whore, I'm very pleased with the gun, it's very smooth and the trigger got down to 3.5 from 5.25lbs. Put 500 rounds through it and it shoots so much nicer now.
