My new old gun.. Gen2 G19

Since Gen1 G19s are so rare I've been looking for a Gen2 to replace my G17 gen4 I'm retiring from my LTC card since CA has decided to take away my pre-ban standard cap mags (but that's a rant for another day)

Anyways, found this G19 for $375 and it still had the infamous "you'll shoot your eye out" tupperware box!

In great shape with a Talon grip sticker and some Dawson sights.. Doesn't look fired much. I think this was made in 1994.

Thought the original sticker said B&B Guns.. but looks like it's B&E Guns, which was a gun store in Cypress that I remember had a shady reputation.

Can't wait to get it into my rotation.. it even works with my G17 carry holsters.. so that's a bonus.

I bought my G19 Gen 2 from B&E guns back in 1994. I have put about 3k rounds thru it and still looks brand new. I still have the tuppaware box and all paperwork and cleaning brush that came with it. I am debating to sell it since I am not a big fan of Glocks. But I really don't want to let it go, since it has sentimental value to me.

I agree.. I hate the finger grooves of the Gen3 guns and for a carry gun I don't need the light rails. So it's really the best out there.

            I had a Gen1 G19 from B&B (Westminster).. was a great gun that I really regretted selling.

Now I just need to go qualify with it, put it on my card, and find a few good holsters.

I think they got busted for doing illegal sales or something like that as I recall..

the Gen 1 G19 was never imported for sale to the public in this country. it was sent to the US in a small grouping of identical pistols for testing by a law enforcement agency. it is believed that shortly after the Gen 1 G19 was sent to the US for testing, the Gen 2 G19 was introduced which eliminated the need for the Gen 1 G19 by the testing agency. at least some of the test pistols are believed to have reached the public for purchase. much of the history of the Gen 1 G19 remains a mystery and some of the 'facts' about it are pure speculation.

OP, great find. my preference for the Glock always goes to the Gen 2 and the Gen 2 G19 is arguably the most desirable of the bunch.

I've got a NIB Gen 2 model 17 and a NIB Gen 2 model 21. Both have their tupperware boxes. I don't have the 19. Congrats.
