Are the Springfield Mod-2's approved for purchase? I checked the roster of guns and the specific model number is not listed, just 1 letter difference.

The roster lists a 9mm SA as XD9101, but the SA Mod-2's model number is XDG9101.

I am pretty sure the Springfield Mod 2 pistols are not on the California roster.

No and never will as long as same roster rules exist (microstamping reqd). In fact no new semi auto that is developed since 2015 (I believe) will ever be on the CA DOJ Roster.
