    Observation-G30

I recently procured a G30 and I've taking it out to the range and fired 150rds. I've up until now resisted Glocks, so the whole feel of it is new to me. But the one thing that stuck out in my mind is the mag engagement. I notice that with a loaded mag, I have to slam it home. Is this normal for a glock 30?

On my cz97b, the mag just slides in nice and easy then clicks without slamming it home.

Yes it's normal. The G30 is notorious for this.

Yup, my G30SF has always required a hard push to get a full 10rd loaded mag to engage.

It never bothered me at all. At the range, I only load 5 or 6 per mag anyway. I only load full when I carry it.

Yes, requires a little extra effort. I've tried it on a G30S and a Gen 4 Glock 30. It's not the same when the slide is locked to the rear, it's much easier. Don't pinch your dominant hand when bumping the magazine into the magwell.

Even with the slide "locked back" and the action open?
