    Competition for Glock 43

I have a G43 that I occasionally carry off duty. I am mostly into full size handguns and don't follow subcompacts that much. ( I still think that a J frame .38 is as good if not better choice ). What other 9mm handguns are out there that are in the same category as a G43?

OP better specify what he means by "same category as G43"

Do you mean single stack striker fired 9mm, or just 'compact handgun', or ?

Because I'm seeing some guns mentioned here that I would not consider the same category as G43 (ie single stack striker fired 9mm subcompact with no external safety)

I meant a 9mm same size and same reliability. On and off roster.

The earlier Kahr stainless framed 9mm is a great option. Look for an Elite '98 or an Elite '03 K9 or MK9.
I carried a K40 Elite '03 for many years and it was a damned fine carry gun. I went to a G43 for various reasons, and I still miss that little K40 all the time.

There's just a boatload of them introduced since concealed carry got popular.

Love my Walther pps m2, shoots like a full size, breaks down same as a Glock. Ergos are great. I have a G42 and 26 that just sit in the safe.

                        Here you go -

The Glock, Taurus Slim and Walther PPS came out on top.

And the Taurus is like $300.
