    1911 slide stop question

is there a such thing as an aftermarket slide stop that is cut flush to frame

night hawk puts them on the t3 and grp pistols... are these for sale separately?

this doesn't look like it has a nub like a normal slide stop but it doesn't specifically say it's flush cut.

    Well,
That pic is of the right side of the frame..... pretty easy to do on that side. It could be done on the left side, not sure that would really be an improvement.
    all the best,
    Mike
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

so like sand it down and then cold blue it? i'm left handed and i'm paranoid about touching the nub with my right thumb while i'm shooting. don't want to push it out and lock the gun in an unfuring configuration. i don't know if this is an unfounded fear...

Notice the hole on the right side of the frame is dished out a bit, presume that's done in conjunction with the flush fit to facilitate easier removal than without. I think without the frame beveling the flush fit wouldn't look quite right either. Just my opinion.

I have not seen one that's flush out of the box - you want to do that as part of building the gun before finishing, flush cut the lever and bevel the slide to make it look like that Nighthawk.

My SVI's have the slide stop pin flush with the frame.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

You'll be sanding for a whole week before you get that thing flushed to the frame. You'll need to grind it with a Dremmel, then square flush it with a steel file, then sanding to smooth up the finish. Cold blue it to give it some protection.

That isn't something that's standard. When you see that, usually, the slide stop has been cut and the hole has also been chamfered. Any decent smith can do the same thing on any 1911.

Wilson Combat does this but I can't seem to find it on their website now. Maybe I saw it in the paper catalog. Either way, I think it would be really hard to accidentally push it out while shooting.
