3 Best California 1911's no limit.

I've been shopping around for a nice quality 1911 45acp in the unlimited range (ok less than 5k) and find we're pretty limited on CA roster list too.

With that being said what are the 3 best quality 45acp 1911's we can own in California?

I have Nighthawk GRP, Wilson Tacital Elite and a few other lower priced 1911's.

I just for some reason need one more real nice one...

I'm a Wilson fan though they are out of my price range. I don't care for the Nighthawk's though I'm sure they are fine handguns. There are Les Baer and Ed Brown's that are on the roster.

Wilson Supergrades are on the roster, but realistically when you get into that range its all driven by aesthetics and not so much a jump in mechanical or material quality over guns like the CQB or GRP. For me i couldnt justify a supergrade. One of my local sjops have a few nighthawks in stock including a nice bobtailed commander sized nighthawk.

Check out Springfield Professional. PC9111LR is the model number for railed version, and on CA roster.

Infinity Firearms can make you a custom 1911 for under 5K. Even though they are custom, they are on the roster. http://www.sviguns.com. Everything made in house from bar stock.

Unlimited money buys a Korth, a HK P7, a Python or any kind of insane Glock. Why waste money on another 1911? Get something rare and cool. Maybe a Nazi Luger with papers?

Well, if a unicorn floats your boat every once in a while a top end 9MM pops up

And there is the crowd favorite, the Supergrade. Doesn't get much better that that

                Hater's gonna hate.

Why buy an insane block? Anything spent above $400 on a block is insane. How fancy can a tupperware gun get? And that's coming from someone who owns a few M&P's.

You and I are friends, but damn son...let go of the hate.

The love and affliction for the 1911 cannot be explained, it just is. Either you have it or you don't. I guess the same can be said for blocks.

I'd look into a GunCrafter. That's just me though.

With magazine restrictions, it somewhat invalidates the glock arguement that would otherwise be more tempting in a free state

Screw the roster, buy PPT and get what you want. Guncrafter perhaps?

Best gun you can get is one you build yourself, get an 80% kit and make your own custom one

Vickers Glock......you won't regret it. Or HK P7. There is a little Hans Gruber in all of us.

If you have a Nighthawk GRP and a Wilson Tacital Elite and want something different. You should definitely look at Infinity Firearms (Strayer Voigt on the CA Roster). You can buy 1 of the 2 CA approved models and once you have it in possession, send it back for custom work.

Obviously there are other high quality 1911's on the roster like Guncrafter, Ed Brown, Springfield Professional, and Les Baer.
