    Colt Python

Hello fellow Calgunners! I need a little help determining a fair price for a Colt Python I am interested in selling. I am currently into long range shooting and hunting and prices for good scopes are a killer. Anyway, this is a Colt that was used by law enforcement maybe back in the 1980's. It appears to be in very good condition but does show some minor holster wear and a few small scratches on the barrel. I have fired a dozen rounds through it and it is quite smooth. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I need to register it with the DOJ before selling. Please take a peek at the photos. Much thanks!

Sounds about right for a shooter.

Keep it!! I was the dumbest human on this earth when I sold my Python 20 some years ago. Do not make that same mistake.

The way I see it you have two options. You either keep it or you keep it.

                      Sell it.......to me.

But - I'd recommend you keep it...then sell it to me.

Seriously, I once had a pristine Python with a 2.5 inch bbl. I was heavily into PPC shooting and needed a leg gun. So I sent the shorty Python off and had a 6 inch bbl installed. (Kick me). Later I sold the 6 inch Python (Kick me). I gave the extra 2.5 inch bbl away. (Kick me).

Sell it to me. (Then, later, you can kick yourself).

I'd happily pay 2K for it.

Probably get 2-2.2K, you can get the 2.2K value if you have the boxes, manuals.

I would also keep it if I were you. Why do you think you have to register it before selling?
