Looking for scope for Ruger Super Redhawk .454

Looking to get an inexpensive handgun scope. Main use it to go on a guided pig hunt with dogs so not sure if I need much more power but would consider variable if priced right.

I'm thinking I minimally need a 2x30 scope with about 18" of eye relief and wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions or if anyone had one they were looking to sell.

Leupold FX-II 4x28mm or Nikon Encore 2.5-8x28mm. Both have sharp optics, will easily tolerate the .454's recoil without failure and are priced about $299.

An inexpensive handgun scope isn't like a cheap rifle scope - I figure even a $39.00 Chinese scope will hold up on a rifle for a while. But a cheap handgun scope will show itself pretty quickly, especially on a 454.

I think a Weaver 2X or 4X for roughly $130.00 is about as cheap as one should go, they happen to be pretty well made. Burris is also an excellent handgun scope.

My FA 454 sports a Leupold 2X. Its been to the shop a couple of times for repair after repeated use with HEAVY loads (I've developed enough sense to stop that foolishness!). The good news is Leupold fixes their scopes for free and the lifetime guarantee extends thru the life of your great grand children! Turnaround time was excellent.
