Sold all my pocket 9s for one .380 and am happy about it!

I recently ran an ad to sell 2 of my 3 pocket 9s - all 3 were for sale, and I figured I would keep the one that didn't sell.

I posted both my Kahr PM9 and Beretta Nano for $550 each (the Kahr was used but in good shape, and the Nano was basically new with Trij night sights and an extra FDE frame - both with orig boxes and 2mags each).
They were SPF immediately to one sale.

I also listed my 938 which I really like, but the single-action, cocked and locked mode doesn't pass muster for me as a pocket pistol. They don't have a grip safety, which I feel is mandatory for a safe carry in condition 1.
So, though I loved the feel of the pistol, and its amazing trigger, I posted it for a "make me sell" price of $1400.
Amazingly, it sold in 2 days.
And I couldn't walk from the loot, so it sold too.

Problem being, this only left me with a 642, which is a great revolver, but a little bulky in width so off on the hunt I went.

Strangely, I was looking for something a bit smaller than my PM9, which was just about perfect, but ever so slightly too big for pocket carry in jeans etc.

I ran across a p380 in the ads. I loved my pm9, and only complaint (which was hardly a complaint) was that it was ever so slightly too big.

Below are pics of the PM9 vs the size of a P380

Good review actually and really reinforces that this little guy will be as good as my PM9 was

Awesome link, thanks for the info! I love my cute little pocket .380's. (Glock 42, Sig p238). Think I might add a Kahr p380 to the collection!

Glad you're happy with your choice. Neither of us would be happy with each other's.

            haha!

            What are you carrying?

I like most all firearms, but I needed something small as possible and still be effective (i.e. no 32acp or less).

It's hard for me to justify the purchase of a pocket pistol. Because I live in an area where we will never get a concealed permit for any reason. If I were able to obtain one, then the thought of purchasing one of those would be a lot more interesting to me

I have 10 on my permit, but my Shield 9mm gets the most time, by far. Car/truck guns are Glocks, and I carry a G26, 30, or 36 when not carrying the Shield.

I agree, but hey, it is what the market will bear for a 938 Scorpion these days.
Craziest, thing, but who am I to argue. I put it up for a "make me sell it" price, and well, I got two offers in 3 days.
                      So, there is that ...
Maybe you have heard of this one revolver called a Python ??? LOL, not that it even pretends to be a python, but the concept is the same.

I paid about $700 OTD for it a couple years ago. Gave it to my mom, and she couldn't rack the slide, so she gave it back to me. I shot it at the range, and carried it in a IWB a bit, but always felt my 10rd compacts were a better option.

I loved the little 938, but again, not too cool with a condition 1 carry in my pocket unless it had a grip safety as well, to say the least. I really don't think it is all that safe to carry cocked in locked even in a holster without a grip safety IMO.

I have IWB sized pistols, and really need a deep conceal/pocket carry - so as I mentioned earlier, this little .380 will fit the bill well.

Good job op. I recently bought a Kahr and enjoy the smooth, albeit long, trigger.

I just bought a G42 for the wife to use....can't wait to pick it up next week. Should be a fun little gun to shoot....was amazed at the small size

Wife carries both the PM9 and the P380. loves them both, prefers the 9 but the 380 works better with some of her outfits. Which ever one she isn't carrying on her body she purse carries.

I just picked up a Bersa Firestorm 380.. Kinda like a PPK copy. Sweet for conceal. $299 at Turners. Every review I've ever seen has been nothing but positive. My wife likes it too, she's making me buy another.

Ive never had a 380 before, but I'm in love. Fun round. like a 9mm short.
