Cheaper, more reliable, easy to work on and more comfortable.
Soooooo, by your standards the Crown Vics and Chevy Caprices must be the best cars to own cause they are the most popular police cars?

And call it a Timeless classic, I would probably disagree with that. An antique design yes, but not a Timeless classic. If you want a Timeless classic, then buy a vintage Colt 1911 that was maybe used in a military conflict. Still the fact remains, that just shoot the same round there are way better options out there. Cheaper, more reliable, easy to work on and more comfortable.
Probably due to cost and weight... there are simply many more options out there that are as reliable, cost much less, and weigh much less...

Or the FBI HRT using the SA Pro for the last, oh 20 straight years? I guess they must just prefer unreliable, nightmare pistols.

Haha. Leave it to BP to throw in his Glock comments in any thread. TRP is a great gun. Ya it's heavy, but metal is heavier than plastic. For me, it creates a good balance.

I love my half rail TRP w Surefire X300 light attached-- heavy??- Yes-- but who cares- It's as reliable as any Glock, S&W M&P, HK etc I've ever owned.

My bedside gun is a SW1911 w no rail. Again, never one FTF of any type in the 8 years I've had it-- I bet my life on that 1911.

TRP to me is a great, robust platform, not just for plinking, for everything.
