    Glock triggers

My little brother "helped" me by putting a '-' connector in my 19 a long time ago. I liked the std connector just fine (it was at least crisp and easy to stage) but the '-' is also OK, lighter but I find it a little mushy and not as easy to ride the reset. I just installed the TiN coated safety plunger, and it did make the first stage take-up noticeably smoother and a little lighter, and the contrast between that and the break is more now, which is a good thing. .

I'll drop in the Double Diamond connector maybe tomorrow and we'll see how it goes. If I don't like it I'll likely keep the TiN plunger and go back to a std connector.

I don't need a super light trigger but I do like a decent break.

Haven't found a tin plunger for the large frame models like my 30sf, but I put a ghost avenger drop in connector that cleaned up the stock one dramatically. Then dropped an agency arms trigger in there. Best glock trigger I've ever handled.

      Glock triggers

i would stay away from anything sold by glock store. I have it's pyramid Trigger, and it's the worst trigger set I have experienced.

OK so I dropped in the DD connector this morning, wiped the carbon off everything, and ran over the bearing surfaces on the trigger bar with a little jewelers rouge. Reassemble, grease, and dry fired. Standard parts except the TiN plunger, the spring it shipped with, and the DD connector.

The TiN plunger was/is a nice upgrade. I'm aware of confirmation bias but I believe the improvement in the first stage of the pull was clearly not imagined. The gun had a '-' connector already, which I replaced w/ the DD. I'm not as sure about that change, I'll have to shoot it a bit. I might go back to the std connector.

The trigger is lighter, but I like to take up the slack and then shoot as two distinct operations, and the DD connector seems to make the line between take-up and break less distinct. The break is still reasonably crisp. For guys who compete it might be a no-brainer. I dunno. I'll try shooting it like a DAO and see how it goes.

More to follow later in the week after a couple hundred rounds.

          EDIT:

The 19 in question is an older "2 pin" model, so I dunno if that matters but there it is.

I hated the Glock trigger when I got my first glock.

After the $.25 trigger job and then a lot of ammo down the tube....I'm really liking it; takeup, break and reset- all good. About my only minor gripe is the trigger body itself....but even that is tolerable.

I have come to realize...Glocks aren't a love at first sight gun....they have to grow on you.

I am thinking about trying one of those aluminum bodied triggers....

This gun has had 1000s of rounds through it, as I said it's old enough that it's got 2 pins instead of 3. I just didn't like the '-' connector that it has in it because it's mushy (but lighter) than I'm used to in a Glock. I tried the DD but it seems about the same, but smoother. Some of the smoothness might be due to polishing the bearing surfaces while I had it apart.

After I shoot a few hundred through it this week I'll tear it down and have a look. Depending how I liked shooting it and what I find inside, I'll either get a stock connector and drop in or stay as is. The TiN safety plunger is also on probation. I like it but I see some reports of peening - I'll have a look. I may polish the OEM one and drop it back in.

$0.25 trigger job with Ghost Rocket connector

Smoother trigger pull compact to stock and very short reset. Like it on my G22.

Flitz and a Dremel and some polishing time, maybe a minus connector, and maybe some Wolff springs (stronger reset spring and lighter firing pin spring if you really wanna go nuts. I'd stay closer to stock on springs and parts if it's a HD or carry gun especially in cali.

I have tried many different connectors and most had the mushy forward sear break feel instead of the two stage oem setup. One thing though don't go light on the striker spring or you could get light primer strikes. Ironically this improves the feel dramatically.
