    Ruger LC380

    Hello All,

This is my first thread on CalGuns, great forum! A lot of great information and a great community.

I had a question, I won an auction on gunbroker.com for a Ruger LC380, I wanted to get it shipped to an FFL here in LA but I was checking the roster and it's not on there. There's a LC380 CA, would that be the same gun? I got it at a really good price and just wanted to know if I can have it shipped to California.

    Thank you

Ck the model # if it is 3253 it is on the list. (it will also be marked LC280CA on the slide) if not you can not take delivery in CA, sorry... By the way as to price, The LC380CA lists for about $60.00 more for no other feature than the CA designation on the slide...

Actually, except for the marking "CA" on the slide, it is identical to the Model# 3219 in every way.... The other 2 Model #'s differ in color as well....

Welcome to Calguns. And to the wonderful world of firearms purchasing in CA. Based on what you have told us, you'll most likely need to forfeit the auction. Hopefully the seller waives any "restocking fee" for you. This is a good lesson on making sure you check the current roster before you bid on anything in the future. Again, welcome aboard.

I support gun control.....if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it!
You go ahead and give peace a chance. I'll cover you if it doesn't work out!

Thanks! Yes, it was a mistake I made. I was just at a gun store about 2 days ago and they were selling the LC380, it did not say CA on the slide so I assumed it was on the roster. After I won the auction I decided to check the roster and it showed the LC380CA, it was an honest mistake. I haven't paid for the item, I'm suppose to send a money order or pay by calling, but I will be letting them know that I can't purchase it. I won the bid at $207. This sucks.

This is the place to buy on our out of roster so pretty much safe if done via ffl.
