    Light strikes

I have a glock 34 with a vogel drop in trigger. Overall the trigger is great. However, when I tinker with the striker spring and drop down to 4lbs I had light strikes with target ammo. I know.... I could use better ammo but, I would rather buy a skeletonized striker from IDP tactical or zev.

    Any recommendations or thoughts?

lighter spring+heavy striker = less power
lighter spring + skeletonized striker= good. coz skeletonized is half weight of stock striker

I installed the 3.5 lb ghost trigger in my G19 and had a light strike issue for awhile. I went back to stock and all is good.

Put the stock striker spring back in. Maybe a lighter striker will let you run a lighter spring, but you will need to find and stick with ammo that has soft primers.

The ZEV Skeletonized striker is longer than a standard striker so you will never have a problem with any light primer strikes anymore you can run your trigger all the way down to 2 pound trigger and it will set off any I repeat any primer

Update, I purchased the the zev skeletonized striker. I attempted to use the 4.5# stijer spring but I had light strikes. I switched with the 5# spring and it works good. However, i want it to be lighter! Any suggestions?

I use federal ammo and do not reload yet.... i also made sure thr firing pin channel is free of debree.

Now when you say target ammo do you mean Match or plinking? Because match ammo always has the thinnest primer cup. But I am guessing you are talking about Tula from Walmart.

You need to go stock and shoot a lot and that is Triggernometry 101.

Try Federal ammo or hand load with Federal primer, it is softest
Federal < Remington < Winchester < CCI (hardest)
