I know they can be hard to get, but used might be an option. Anybody own one or both? I have the 43 and love it. Opinions?

Never seen one in real life before. -
I want the 42 so bad! the 43 is cool too, but I love the 380
was out in Utah before the new year and got to try them both.Comment

I had a 42 not too long back. It's a Glock so it was GTG. Ended up trading it for a Glock 26 plus some cash. I miss it every now and then, but the 26 is a much more versitile piece.Comment

I have a Glock 42 for sale. I like it, I just don't shoot it.Comment

I EDC a 42 currently, but picked up a Kahr CM9 which has almost identical specs, but in 9mm. Will likely switch to that soon.Comment

I got my wife a 42, I like it but my meat hands make it a little hard to shoot, I made some adjustments and shoot it decent now, it is tiny compared to my 26. However I like my Walther pps m2 better than both."People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."Comment

I have both the 43 and Shield 9mm. I much prefer the 43, it is just about perfect for a small single stack sub-compact handgun.
I have shot the 42 and do like it, but not willing to invest in .380 so most likely will never get one.Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.Comment

TPT, I can't remember, but are you retired? Blue Label is still applicable to you, but roster depends on your status. You can check if any local Blue Label dealers have the 42 for you to compare. It is noticeably smaller than the 43 and is softer shooting respective to it's size and caliber. The 43 can be snappy to some folk.
This is the same comparison between the Sig P238 vs P938.Comment

I have a 42 I got uses thru PPT. Did the trigger and got extended mags. I have carried it as my BUG and swimsuit carry for over a year. Shoots well for a 380. My wife's KAHR P-380 is actually about an inch shorter and shoots about as well.
But I am happy with mine. I easily shoot 200 rounds a month thru it without any issues.Only slaves don't need guns

anbu, oh-boy I only wish I were retired. Lol. I've got just a few more years to go. That allows me to keep buying.
. But the "wife commander" gets more vicious after each purchase.
I'm tossing the idea of my next purchase and it's between the G42 and the Ruger LCP-2. I looked at the LCP-2 yesterday and never in a million years even considered it. I was more than impressed with the fact that it's smaller than the even the Bodyguard.
I love the G43 and it's becoming my EDC. It just doesn't seem to make sense for me to buy the 42 when it's nearly the same size as the 43 and with a weaker caliber round.
I also have a Colt mustang pocketlite in stainless. It weighs exactly as much as the 42, holds the same 6+1, yet it's
1/3rd smaller than the 42. The mustang is my "living room/back yard" pocket gun. However I'm not authorized to carry it outside of the home. When I eventually retire, then I can carry anything I want. But until then.....
RollingCode3, that is a sweet set of heaters there!!! What's the finish on the 42, Hard chrome? Nickel?Last edited by TrailerparkTrash; 01-24-2017, 3:43 PM.sigpic

I have both. I CCW the G42. I'll add the G43 this summer when I renew. The G42 is a very soft shooter. For 9mm, I also have a non-CA Shield and an XDs. They all work but I like the G43 the best.

Rented a 43 once. I didnt like it as much as my Shield. It is probably easier to conceal than the Shield though.
I think the Ruger LCP9 is probably the smallest 9mm in the class.CRPA and NRA member.
