    22LR - Browning 1911 or Buck Mark ?

Currently own Walter P22 and was thinking of adding:

    Browning 1911-22
    Browning Buck Mark 22

Any feedback either way would be appreciated...

I've got both and that's what I'd recommend
If I could only have one I probably would go for the buckmark. It feels more like a full size where the Browning feels like a compact. I think it's easy to be accurate with the buckmark, maybe because of the longer sight radius and also just that the sights are easier to see. Last but not least, the buckmark is cheaper.

I looked at both and liked them, but bought a GSG 1911-22. I like the full size.

Thanks thanks what I was thinking both. The s&w 41 seems like another great add on.

          What purpose?

I usually figure out what kind of gun I need and then choose the one that best fits the criteria.

I have the Buckmark and the Colt 1911 22lr which is full size not 80% scale like the Browning 1911 ...... I'd hate to have to pick only one.
I ASSUME the Browning1911 is a good gun.
Do you want the 1911 look and feel if so then the 1911 .... if just want a solid 22 with no thought on the 1911 look feel the Buckmark is solid

Neither. Get a Ruger Mark III or IV.

                  I have both as well.
                  Both are reliable and accurate.

My Buckmark has a red dot and is great for the range.
If you miss a target, it's your fault.

The 1911-22 shoots very well considering the iron sights only, not as far as the Buckmark but that may be my aging eyes.

I also have a full size 1911 with a Kimber .22 top end, this works well and is better than the small 1911-22 for those with larger hands.

I do like guns sized to the cartridge, such as a small 1911 in .380 (Mustang), so the 1911-22 appeals to me.
The compact size and light weight of the 1911-22 make it an ideal back pack plinker.

The Rugers are also good, I have a bunch of Rugers but no MK1,2,3 yet, one of those is on my short list.

The Buckmark has lots of aftermarket parts to better fit hunting, plinking, target, or competition needs.

                    The Browning...none.

The Buckmark is a nice, accurate pistol that looks like most any other .22 pistol.

The Browning is a nice, accurate pistol that is one of a kind.

                    Personally...I'd get both!

No need to have so many 22LR pistols. Just go and buy a Smith and Wesson Model 41 and you are done. But if this is out of your price range, then get the Buckmark.

I started with a GSG 1911 22LR then got rid of it for a Walther P22, S&W 22A-1, Browning Buckmark Hunter. Now all I have is a S&W Model 41. I'd rather have one excellent 22LR pistol than 3 or 4 cheaper ones.

The only issue with owning the S&W Model 41 is the ammo diet. Seems like this gun loves CCI Standard Velocity ammo or other SV ammo. So if you want to shoot cheap high velocity ammo, then go with the Buckmark.

That's like having only one potato chip, with a full open bag sitting next to you.

(Yes, the Smith 41 is a great gun, I may get one of those someday too.)

Love my buckmark, it's what I teach new shooters with. If you can't hit with it you shouldn't be shooting.

Great point. Thanks for feedback. Maybe just the s&w 41 and a buck mark ;-)
