    Off Roster Competition Pistol

    Howdy!

What is a good Off Roster Competition Pistol? I'm talking about "Production Category". A friend suggest a Springfield Armory XDM 9mm on 5.25 barrel.
    Any thoughts on this?

If you can buy any off roster pistol for competition production category, what would be your choice?

Looking forward hearing from the expert.

    TIA

XDm is popular choice, I'd also add maybe M&P CORE or CZ Shadow.

        CZ Shadow.

While these may be the "best" production pistols, sounded like OP is probably not at that level. An Accu-Shadow for example is quite a bit more money than regular Shadow, and may be more gun than he needs. There are no XD's at the top level of competition, but that doesn't mean its a bad gun out of the box, to get started with.

OP, I think you need to provide a bit more info, to narrow your search down. There's a lot of choices, if you look at the production legal list of guns, and most of them are probably off roster anyway. So knowing your budget, current experience, whether you plan to mod or keep it bone stock, all that would be helpful to recommend you something.

I'm not going to be a top USPSA finisher that's for sure so the first two that mentioned is out of the question. I'm also not a big fan glock (sorry). So having said that, I guess my choice would be either SA XDm or M&P core. I think I can lush my budget to M&P performance center.

              Thank you for your input.

I took the class last year and did not do a whole lot practice. I am going out more time this year so I am a beginner.

Beginner or advanced, it's nice to have a nice gun that is easy to shoot accurately and keep training and getting better with it.

I personally hate Glocks but when I first shot my G34, I was pleasantly surprised and if money was an issue, that is what I would start with.

I think OP really wants a XDM but wants everyone's approval as to making the right choice.

                      You're probably right.

The first two pistol on your list are either not available or very expensive. The third one on your list is a glock which I'm not a fan.
