    need AR-15 pistol info

    Hello,

I am new to this site, and also new to firearms.

I just bought an ar-15 pistol kit with an 80% lower, and I am getting conflicting information on its legality in California.

Will building with a ARMaglock make this legal?

Pay special attention to post number 5 on manufacturing vs conversion.

So right now, I can legally build, posses, and fire an ar-15 pistol built from an 80% lower, at least until January 2018?

            AR-15 Pistol Build

I just bought an at-15 pistol kit.

If I build with a ARMaglock on 80% lower, engraved with my own serial number, can I avoid registration?

Would it be legal in stock form until 2018?

This will be my first semi-auto, so I don't know many technical terms

            Thanks for any information.

Hmm I was under the impression it would have to be bolt action?

Forget about building it as a semi-auto unless you're prepared to meet the DOJ lab testing requirements. Please refer to Penal Code section 32000.

Your build will need to a dimensionally and design complaint single-shot per Penal Code section 32100(b).

Also make sure that you're prepared for the S/N marking requirements of AB 857 within the require timelines.

Or break top single shot. Engrave with your info prior to law kicks in.

OR just don't try it at all.
