I just tried purchasing the on roster version of the mc operator on buds gunshop and my order was denied! They said they wouldn't ship the pistol to me because it didn't have the "CA" on the product code from Springfield Armory even though product code matches doj's approved hand guns. I don't know if this is buds store policy or if that even matters. Has anyone run into this issue when trying to purchase online?

did you deal with buds guns shop? or was it a different company? because I did call to try to explain to them that it didn't matter about that "CA", and the lady over the phone still said they wouldn't ship to cali unless it had that on there, kinda dump because when I ordered my trp the package has a sticker right on the box that says "not for sale in California" lolComment

They cancelled my reserved order for a SA Pro 1911 as well. They said the same thing "it fell off the roster and needs CA in the model number". The gun did not fall off the roster. It doesn't need CA in the model numbers, this is incorrect I've confirmed it. I called SA customer service, they confirmed these are still on the roster. I also check the CA Roster my self they are still on the roster. Then called BudsGuns and spoke with the supervisor they got it sorted. They reinstated my original order. I've been waiting for 2 1/2 years for the SA Pro!!!! It's all good I'm forth in line! Should have it within another year or so...Comment

As of 2016, Springfield made a change for all their 1911's deleting the Internal Locking System (ILS).
PX9105MLP has the ILS removed. This model as of 2016 is not CA legal.
PX9105MLPCA is the CA legal model that has the ILS as the roster requires. If it doesn't have the CA at the end of it, it is not CA legal. The CA was added by Springfield internally to help them keep the model separated.
CA DOJ did not bother updating the list.Comment

We'll that sucks. I literally bought the same gun from Budsgunshop earlier today. I just grabbed the code from the roster to make sure that I got the exact CA model.
Did they charge a cancellation fee? I feel like that's an easy mistake to make.Last edited by ATVMXR; 01-12-2017, 6:02 PM.Comment

On-roster MC Operators are perfect railed 1911s for custom upgrades due to the railed frame and smooth front strap. The newer versions have front strap checkering so you can't really change it after the fact. Ever since people started reporting that Springfield went away from the ILS, I've been wondering what would happen to our rostered guns. Seems like CA gets screwed again.Comment

So we can't order Springfield 1911's now?History doesn't repeat itself but it rhymesComment

You would think Springfield will still make them in batches, but they will certainly be fewer in number now that their standard production is even more different than the CA version.Comment
