I got mine in 2000 and it has one so before that .

That's what makes the gun special. It's part of the oe design. From inception.

My USP 9 from 1993 has the non captured spring. My USP 45 from 2000 is captured.

That is very odd, mine is number 16xxx and has it. To my understanding all USP's have always had this feature.

Broken ? Mine uses a Jesus clip on the rod with a washer . So there should be slit in the Rod for the Jesus clip

Ye of little faith. I have other USP pistol to compare to, I know what I'm looking it...

My mistake, my 9 is a 94 and my 40 is a 95.
