    G19 frame?

Looking to buy a factory glock G19 lower or frame. Not an 80% or non factory build. Anybody know where I might find one? The few places I've found that sell them won't sell to CA. Any advice appreciated

You can't transfer a pistol frame.

Basically a Glock 19 frame isn't on the CA roster.

Buy one from baboosh, then sell the upper assembly for $250-$350...

...I'd buy the upper from you for $250, but I'm a cheap bastard and you could probably sell it for more to someone else/gunbroker.

With the Poly80 compact Glock frame about to hit the market (or already on the market), you should have no problem selling the upper and any parts from the lower that you don't want.

Yeah. I see slides or complete parts kits on ebay for almost as much as a new Glock all the time. They seem to be selling too. I'd imagine someone could recoup almost 100% of the price of the gun right now. Might cost you the DROS and tax for a frame and the two mags.

Looks like an FFL could make a tidy profit stripping complete Glocks, selling the parts for the price a new Glock on ebay, then selling the frame and mags separately. Not sure how Glock would feel about that or if it might violate some sort of agreement, but people seem to be paying at least the cost of a new pistol just the parts at the moment.

FFL can't sell or transfer just the frame.

Legally they can. Perhaps not to non roster exempt CA residents, but it is legal. Unless you mean it's a Glock policy for their retailers.

You can purchase a complete frame and DROS using a borrowed mag and upper.

                      Nate,
Are suggesting a ffl would receive the frame and assemble the complete pistol with an available upper and mag and transfer a completed pistol to the buyer?

He's saying ( I think ) if someone out of state had just the frame for sale, you could get them the upper & mag to make it complete when it arrived at the FFL.

Not really. To sell a handgun frame to a non exempt CA resident it would have to be a PPT. A dealer could not sell a pistol frame with loaner parts as there are no semi auto handgun frames on roster. That was being done during SSE, but became significantly more difficult after they got rid of SSE of semi auto handguns.

There are 49 other states besides CA. He is not just referring to CA. In almost ever other state, yes they can - and they do.
