Thought I'd share some pics of my first pistol, a High Standard Supermatic Citation
It's an M102, being manufactured some time around 1960. My dad bought it from a friend, before I was born even, shooting it on only a handful of occasions. Most of the time it just sat in its box.
When I got my FSC last year and he told me about the gun, I knew it had real potential. When I got it out of the box, it shot OK, but had issues feeding and ejecting reliably. After about 500 rounds, cartridges were becoming regularly stuck in the chamber. With the help of various High Standard experts, I disassembled the upper, put in a new recoil spring, replaced the broken grips, and gave the whole gun a thorough cleaning, Unfortunately, it was still plagued with issues, so I took the next step and disassembled the lower, replaced the sear bar and slide stop springs, adjusted the trigger settings, and soaked all the little bits and pieces, including magazine parts, before carefully reassembling again. Finally, the gun is working reliably and I'm happy to have been able to put this magnificent piece back to good use
Seems like it could be a real tack driver, and accuracy improved further than where it's at right now, though honestly I need a lot more work in that area than the gun does
In any case, enjoy the pics! This gun's been real fun to shoot.

And here's one more of the Citation with my 2nd handgun, a tapered barrel MkIII in stainless:
