    Llama .45

I took it to the range today and it jammed everytime i would shoot round #1 and # two would never to into the chamber on top of that the mag (broke) will no longer hold bullets. Two questions:

    1. What could be making it jam?

    2. Does any other colt replica's magazine fit this gun?

Just about the only interchanageable part between the llama 1911 clone and the actual 1911 series IS the magazine.

Take the gun into a gun shop and try some out for fit.

My Llama IX-A .45ACP works flawlessly. Think it depends on the model, but many Llama .45s used a proprietory magazine. Does your magazine have the 8 small round peep holes and a wide foot plate? If it does, check out Triple K magazines. They stock the wide bottomed mags.

Here's my Llama. The magazine in the photo is actually a 1911 magazine, not a Llama mag :

          Another REvalation

I took the pistol apart and noticed that the device between the slide stop and the saftey is completely missing. What is that (device) called?

I think you may be talking about the plunger tube assembly. If it's missing, that's not good. Your thumb safety won't lock into place and your slide stop may work loose.

There should be a slide lock detent and a safety lock detent seated in both ends of a small spring. These parts sit in a small tube shaped piece of metal that is staked to the frame via two legs that are part of the small tube.

My dad has one of these, and all I can say is the plunger tube assy is not a standard 1911 piece, as the Llama's have a bolted down tube, whereas most Colt clones have a staked plunger tube. I recall seeing a bolt-down plunger tube, marketed as an upgrade to a standard Colt, but I don't recall the manufacturer, sorry.

But, Numerich has the factory plunger tube, spring, and screws listed.
