Apex Trigger for Glock 19, Update

Does anyone have experience with the following trigger for their Gen3 Glock?

Apex Glock Action Enhancement Trigger & Gen 3 Trigger Bar

I'm really close to pulling the trigger on this purchase (pun slightly intended) but am a bit worried about altering the safety of my pistol. It looks like the kit comes with a Glock OEM trigger bar, so a potential failure might come for the safety bar on the trigger?

    I'd appreciate any input.

    Thanks!

Apex is a top notch company that's been doing it for years. They are actually down the street from my work. Should be good to go. I kept emailing them asking for a glock trigger and they finally came out with one once my agency arms trigger was already on the way

I love the ghost avenger connector paired with the agency trigger. Makes for a super smooth trigger, very short reset.

I use the Apex triggers in my Glock 19 and 26 with stock factory connectors They are much more comfortable to shoot and go bang ever time This is a well designed and high quality trigger

I have been wanting to get one for my g26 or 27 and compare the two. I do have one installed on my sd40ve and it made a world of difference, then again the sd trigger was kinda ****ty at first

So I installed the Apex Tactical Trigger (with factory trigger bar) on my G19 today. Haven't taken her to the range yet, but just from dry firing I can tell it is quite a difference. Can't wait to try it out at the range this weekend!

A couple of years ago I bought a G19 with a Ghost Trigger from a Calgun member. I can't be happier.

Yep, easy upgrade to an ice pistol. It's noticeable with litttle effort and IMO worth it.

So, I went out and put ~200 rounds through my G19 with new Apex Tactical Trigger. Trigger shoe is very comfortable, the trigger bar safety does not dig into my finger like the stock trigger did. For me this has made shooting my G19 even more fun since my finger is not in pain after pulling the stock trigger for a 100+ rounds. This was my main intention for replacing the trigger and the versions I purchased came with a GLOCK stock trigger bar. Being that the trigger bar is stock, I would think that the trigger pull (weight, pre travel, etc) remains the same, but to my surprise it feels a bit different/better. Not sure if its just in my head, but the pull feels lighter and the pre-travel and reset shorter (and smoother)? To me the $100 was worth eliminating the blistering pain the stock trigger gave me. I also like the feel of aluminum and the flat face over the plastic concave triggers.

Feel free to chime in with your experiences or with any questions. So far so good, very happy with the purchase.

I have the Apex trigger in my M&P and it was a world of difference....but I also changed the sear which I wouldn't do in a Glock. If the Apex for Glock doesn't affect the safeties and doesn't change it much.... thats a good thing.

I'm gonna have to call Apex and see what the weight difference is if any. I'm hoping someone has actually checked it before and after.

I'd be interested in hearing what Apex tells you about the weight of the pull. Its possible I perceived a lighter pull due to a shorter, smoother pull and shorter reset (I'm almost certain of this). The apex trigger is flat so more finger pushing against a greater surface area probably makes it feel easier to pull.

                        This is from their website:

                        What It Does
The Glock Action Enhancement Trigger, with Gen 3 Factory Trigger Bar, is a direct drop-in replacement of the factory polymer trigger and reduces overall trigger travel while providing smooth uptake and reset with a crisp trigger break. When paired with the Apex Glock Ultimate Safety Plunger, an even smoother trigger uptake can be achieved.

                        Expected Results
                        – Direct drop-in replacement of factory polymer trigger
                        – Reduces trigger over travel and reset distance
                        – Smooth uptake and reset
                        – Crisp trigger break
                        – Center mounted pivoting safety maintains factory safety values

Here is an email that Apex sent me when I inquired about whether or not the trigger compromises the safeties in any way:

                        Hi,

Thank you for contacting us. In regards to your first question, the Gen 3
trigger bar that is included with our Apex Glock trigger is a Glock factory
trigger bar. The bar itself is unmodified and unpolished. It just has our
                        trigger on it now.

Now, safety is very important to us here at Apex. All of our products meet
or exceed factory safety values and they will not negate from the safety
mechanisms built in the firearms. Our Glock triggers, both the trigger shoe
and the trigger mounted on the trigger bar, do not affect any of the 3
                        safety functions in the firearm.

We hope this information helps. Please feel free to contact us if you have
                        any questions. Thanks!

I talked to the SO Range Master about installing an Apex trigger on my carry pistol, and he actually recommends it.
I wish I could've sent my Glocks in for the triggers before they moved to AZ.
They were a few minutes away from me!

Why would they need the firearm? It's three pins?

                              1911 loaded,
So the takeup is reduced....by about how much? what I mean by that is does it feel like its a lot different vs stock?

I really don't see the takeup as an issue with a Glock trigger. Its there as a safety factor and has no weight to it....at least none to speak of. Shoot a stock H&K DA/SA trigger- now thats take-up.

Then add on followup shots you let up lightly until reset...so no real take-up there. If Apex took up almost all of the take-up....I'm out. Curious as to how it feels to guys that have them.
