    Sig 226 22lr legality.

I've been looking at the new full size 22lr by Sig and it says it's made on a 226 frame just with a 22 top assembly. Does this qualify as being a Sig 226 on the CA approved handguns list or are they illegal to own in CA.

P.S. I did a search and couldn't find anything on the gun.

    This guy?

Look under specs at the bottom.

The only .22 LR Sigs on the list are the Mosquito's.

You would need to purchase the normal P226 and buy a conversion slide.

No worries. You might be able to import one under the NRF if it all goes as planned.

You can also choose to pick up a P226 or P220 and picking up the conversion kit. It's the same isn't it?

I'm guessing it's a lot cheaper to buy the full frame 22lr and the 9mm conversion kit than the other way around?

No, each kit is proprietary for each frame.

I'm aware theres a P226 kit and P220 kit, just stating that the OP could pick either and buy the corresponding conversion and have basically the same.

                You're probably right, I didn't consider cost...

Yah right. Two weeks, or was that was TOO weeks or was it TO weeks. No that was TWO months ago.

Don't worry. TWO more weeks and we should know.
