Everyone -
I have been reading your site with great interest for at least six months or so. I decided to finally post up, and will try to join in where I can add something to a discussion.
I live in southern orange county, and love handguns, all handguns. I have a special affinity though, for .357 revolvers and .45ACP of the 1911 variety.
I am an ardent believer in the second amendment and the right of individual citizens to arm themselves. I am not a doomsday theorist, but I do believe that it is an intense individual responsibility to be prepared for anything that may come.
I am saddened that our state has declined to the point where your "average" person thinks gun people are weird, strange, or somehow disturbed. I am however, hopeful for the future that there is a vibrant online community dedicated to firearms in california when the enthusiasts in the country seem happy to have forgotten we exist.
Oh, and I can't stand the overly macho stand offish gun know it all commando type that tend to intimidate good people away from the hobby of shooting. Just a pet peeve of mine, and I imagine everyone here knows the kind of person I am talking about. I also dislike the snobs that think if it isn't a super tuned custom with an expert trigger job by so and so, then it isn't worth shooting.
Anyway, enough rambling, thanks for taking the time to read!
