    Thinking about getting a Sig P239 9mm

I haven't owned a gun in a few years and the last gun I owned was a surplus Sig P6. I liked it except for the super heavy DA (I like the DA/SA system otherwise) pull and it didn't reliably feed JHP.

The P239 seems like a perfect choice for me but should I consider anything else? I'd like to limit myself to on-roster single stack 9mm pistols since I don't really trust semis that were designed with higher capacity in mind with 10-round mags and I have medium-smallish hands so single stacks are more comfortable to me as well.

The HK P7M8 seems like another great choice but I don't really want to spend a ton of money on a weapon that isn't produced anymore since this will be for defense and, possibly CCW, only.

The P239 is excellent. Go with your first choice.

If you are open to other makes, particularly for CCW, you might want to test out an S&W Shield, if you don't mind a bit less capacity.

        What about a Beretta 92?

OP mentioned possible CCW. The 92 is pretty huge for CCW.

Kahr p9 or k9, DA trigger but silky smooth and definitely not heavy. No extra BS levers on the side... Hold one before you buy anything!

                Kahr triggers are terrible IMO.

To each his own I guess... I love the kahr line and own several models, just a suggestion to try it...

I have had a P239 and a P225 since like 2001 and I actually like the P239 better and find it slightly more accurate.

If it fits right, go get it. It's a SIG Sauer.

I use a P239 for CCW. Its super accurate which I love but if Im honest, I dont carry it very often because of its weight..... compared to my other CC guns.

My p239 in 9mm is soft shooting, accurate, and ultra reliable. Can't go wrong with it.

Well, considering a P229 is less than 5oz more and shoots softer than my Gen4 Glock 34(competition model top of the line long slide Glock) in a compact package, it makes me wonder why the P239 even has a purpose. I haven't put a P239 in the waistband or strapped on on the hip though which is a huge factor for a carry pistol. I've been carrying a P229 for years and love love love it. Not a single malfunction in 25,000 rounds.

The 10rd sig mags are MUCH better than the garbage 10rd glock mags that are just unbelievably horrendous.
