    TRANSFORM GLOCK 30 SF TO A 30 S

    Update:
So per my original post below I just ending up doing the swamp. The 30S slide functions flawlessly. I'm not that great but I got 4" groupings at 7 yrds. Polished up all rails and part. Action is like butter. I have about 400 rnds thru it and I'm content. The original G30 slide is now for sale on the forum. Happy I made the change.

    Original post:
The Glock 30 S is an CA off roster gun. Instead of paying an inflated price for it I was thinking about buying a used G30 SF, and swamping it out with a 30 S slide assembly I can buy on Gunbroker.com. Since no FFL is required I can have it shipped directly to me in CA. I saw 30 S slide selling for about $350 and also the reg G 30 slide selling for the same. So if things turned out the way I think they would, I would eventually sale the original Glock 30 SF's slide and even out. Basically have a G30 S for under $500.

What do you guys think? A G30 S is built on an SF frame anyways... all I can think about that is being sacrificed from having a factory 30 S is just that... it being a factory 30 S.

as i am writing this, a glock 30s just got sold in the for sale section for $700 in your area. i would have just bought this and sold the glock 30sf. ☺

For now that's the CA way to get a 30s. I planned on putting a 30s slide when I hand my Gen 4 30. Can't wait till the roster is abolished.

Glock 36 slide works, and is 'essentially' the slide used on the 30s

Years ago at Shot Show the Glock rep that I've know for a few years said to me they just marked G36 slides with G30S. That is the only difference in the slides on a G30 frame.
