Please excuse my ignorance, but what is an Ed Brown Special Forces and what makes it special compared to what we have available.

Isn't the Ed Brown Special Forces on the CA approved list? S&W model 29 or 27.

Either a SIG P210-6 (if I had some money saved) or a SIG P229ST.

Smith and Wesson Shorty 9, Shorty 45

Smith and Wesson Shorty 45, Shorty 9, one of the Recon variants, the CQB or virtually any double action Smith and Wesson Performance Center product.

                  They are excellent quality products.

California should make all Performance Center firearms exempt from testing, past and present, as these firearms make up some of the best quality products in the nation.

Also, Smith and Wesson has been around since 1852 so they aren't a fly by night "Saturday night special" company.

Unfortunately, our politicians here have made this state the "Peoples Republic Of Kalifornia". It is referenced this way all over the nation now.

I second that - since I have everything else Mateba has made. Or any one of the number of Korth revolvers I have ever seen. If you think Manurhins and Pythons are nice, just about any Korth, even a plain-jane model, is true artwork. I thought Freedom Arms was the epitomy of craftsmanship in revolvers, until I held a Korth and saw their booth at the 2004 SHOT show.

                          I own no Korths.....

Man, the Ultimate would be the HK P7M7. No one could ever get one, even out of state. There are only 6 in existance, all in HK's possession.

Thats the strangest thing. I emailed Ed when this first came out and he said he had no intention of sending it to cali due to the new requirments. Guess he changed his mind.
