    Desert Eagle Question

I just purchased my first desert eagle and I've been checking online for a muzzle brake, but with no luck I have not seen any for sale.

My question is for those DE owners that do have one... where did you find it? How much did it cost and was it worth it in the end? Did you notice a difference?

Yes quite a difference with the 50 Ae not so much in 44 mag . Every barrel and mag I bought for my Desert Eagle I bought off eBay . At a screaming deal . Unfortunately it's not just a muzzle break it's the entire barrel . And bettween $300 and $500 depending on caliber and finish . You can look on the Magnum Research website for ideas .

I have checked the site for the last couple days, same as eBay and etc and no luck. Is the muzzle break that extended barrel?

I have the 6 inch DE, just purchased a 50 AE barrel from magnums site. Since they were the only ones I found that offered it in my original color (burnt bronze) I didn't have much of a choice.

The pictures from the magnum site look difference as apposed as a good search. Am I missing something?

I have the DE44 in brushed chrome. After a lot of research and phone calls, I purchased the BAR506IMB (6", 50ae barrel, integrated muzzle break). It is only available in black, and not always in stock. Doesn't look the way I want it to look, but it it sure does shoot like I hoped it would!

Mind if I could possibly see a picture of it?

The muzzle break is extended but not the 10 or 14 inch barrels . It looks like the factory barrel about inch and half longer with slots .

Whenever I search it up. It looks like this.

It does look like the muzzle break is detachable (I could be wrong)

But now double checking the site. I can see how they come attached. I always thought the break could be installed.

Sucks I would have to purchase one and get it matching with my DE

No other way to go around it besides buying the barrel itself again?

You might call Magnum research and see if there's any way they can attach a break to the 50 barrel you just bought, I'm not sure if that's something they do, but its worth at least looking into.

The picture you posted is one of the early versions when they first started doing the muzzle break, back then they were a separate piece attached to the barrel, but the newer versions are all integrated as a one piece unit.

That makes sense. I just emailed magnum research and now waiting on a response.

Let's see how this plays out now

They can bolt one to your present barrel for a nominal fee.

                    Q. How can I install a muzzle brake to my Desert Eagle barrel?

                    A. To have a muzzle brake installed on your barrel you would need to send the BARREL ONLY to:

                    Magnum Research Inc.
                    Attn: MB Install
                    12602 33rd Avenue SW
                    Pillager, MN 56473

Enclose a note stating that you would like a muzzle brake installed along with your name, phone number, and return shipping address.
Once the brake is installed, we will contact you for credit card payment at that time.
Estimated turnaround time is 3 weeks.
                    Cost of a black muzzle brake is $199.00 + $10.00 s/h = $209.00
                    Cost of a chrome or nickel plated muzzle brake is $264.00 + $10.00 s/h = $274.00
                    Cost of a 24K Gold or Titanium Gold plated muzzle brake is $299.00 + $10.00 s/h = $309.00
                    It's not PTSD, it's nostalgia.

Hmm, okay.. I know why now.. under the FAQS page I see a listing for DE handguns with everything else mixed into it

Too bad I would still have to contact them because my color isn't listed on there

Yeah, I just got my 50 AE barrel yesterday. Haven't even shot it yet. Only they were the ones who offered it in my color. I wish I could of emailed them first to get it all done at once rather than shipping and back and fourth..

                              Damn..
