people need to be able to adapt. I know shooters that can go from a glock to a 1911 to a revolver and then a rifle and be accurate with all of them

Why Do People Constantly Complain About The Glock's Grip Angle ??

Exactly. I really don't understand a lot of complaints about different firearms. Barring a mechanical failure from a poor design, or lack of quality of some sort. Complaints about trigger pull, grip, angle, reset, and blah, blah, blah. The way I look at it, if these things bother you so bad that it makes you shoot $h!tty, then I'm thinking you probably can't shoot well in the first place. I'm really not trying to insult anyone, far from it. I've been shooting firearms almost 50 years now. I pick up a weapon that is new to me, then fire a few rounds to adjust, I'm then good to go. I can see some modifications for competitive shooters. But aside from that, the average shooter should just learn to shoot properly, and everything else will fall in to place. If common sense was so common, why don't liberals possess any?Comment

I once had an Airsoft Glock replica handgun. It simply did not feel good in my hand. The pointing angle felt weird. I had never owned a "real" handgun either at that point and didn't realize there was anything different about the Glock grip/point of aim compared to other handguns! It felt weird before I even read about this debate. My first real handgun purchase became an XD, based on the ergonomics that were touted at the time. Feels much better. Yes, you can train and get used to anything if you have to, even featureless AR grips (yuck!). Whatever works for you is fine. Gun diversity!!!! Libs want to force you to use what "they" want you to use. I'm tolerant of all of your gun choices!!!

Why? I'll never understand this argument. If I own A CZ-75 for home defense and competition and a Ruger M77 for hunting, why would I ever need to adapt to another firearm? What value does being able to pick up a Taurus 24/7 and shoot it well add to my life?
If you own a handgun, shoot it well and like everything about it, there is no reason to devote your time to shooting a plastic brick with a grip angle you have to fight. Except to appease internet warriors.Comment

I too learned many decades ago on Sigs and 1911's.....and when I first picked up a Glock it pointed high.
Now, I've come to realize that Glock grip angle is a small advantage as it gives you a little more leverage over the pistols recoil naturally positioning your hand a tad higher.

I don't like the Glock grip angle. If you want to buy me one and encourage me to adapt I will accept the challenge. Otherwise, leave me alone about what I like and don't like.Comment

This is why guns come in all different shapes and sizes. If every pistol was made to fit the "average person", most shooters would never be able to find a gun that works for them. While I happen to like the grip angle of some guns more than others, I appreciate that manufacturers have given us all these choices. I don't think any guns inherently have "wrong" ergonomics, which is why it always bugs me when I hear people conclude that "XYZ guns suck because they have terrible grip angles."
FWIW, I find that I have better recoil control when my grip angle causes me to angle to pistol downward. I theorize that might have something to do with why Glock grips were designed the way they were, although I have nothing to back that up

I love complaint threads about people complaining.
Why would you even care what other people say or think about the grip angle? You like it, great. Other don't, wonderful. Why do you give a **** either way?Comment
