Did you "jeweled" the hammer? I like the look. Very nice Python. Thank you for sharing.

I noticed on your previous posted photos that your Python has the double pinned front sight-pre dates mine and adds value to your Python. My KT0XXX has a later model single pinned front sight.
Also saw that your Python's hammer has undergone and I don't know what to call it other than a non-standard or maybe Colt custom shop swirl type of polishing.

A lot of people jewelled Python hammers and triggers back in the day to make them pretty.

Good news is, a good gunsmith can probably un-jewel it for you. The jewelling hurts value.

Years ago I had a blued gun with jeweled hammer and trigger- had to buy new ones to make it correct.

Dave, the jewelled hammer and trigger also prevented rusting or that is what the old cop's tale was back in the day. I like the old school look

Haha, it may have removed existing rust, but it prevents nothing

That was really popular back in the day. I still like it on bolt action bolts.. sometimes

I like the jeweling on the hammer and I'd keep her just the way she is. OP, congratulations on such a magnificent find! She's lovely.
