SA 9mm 1911

My frind recently bought a SA 1911 in 9mm and we found some botched up fitting job on the thumb safety and beavertail safety.

So, just as an FYI, do a bit of checking:

Press the beavertail in and see if toward end of travel it feels the beavertail is fighting and gets harder to press in all the way.

With beavertail pressed in all the way and hammer cocked, see if thumb safety will feel mushy engaging and disengaging.

Whoever at SA assembled my friends pistol messed up the frame, the beavertail and the ambi safety (left side specifically) all because they couldn't figure out one tiny area of conflict between the beavertail and frame.

Just check... it is not the usual or norm for SA but I think they have at least one assembler with two left hands over there.
