Pistol? Just wondering if anyone here has an easy way to modify the pistol to make you disassemble to change magazines. I would really like to avoid the registration process.

For the TDI KRISS Vector Pistol current options are:
      A. Register it as an assault weapon.
      B. Make it into a featureless rifle.
      C. Sell it to a CA FFL dealer with an assault weapons permit.
      D. Take it out-of-state for storage or to transfer it through an out-of-state FFL dealer.
      E. Render it permanently inoperable (destroy it).
      F. Surrender it to law enforcement for destruction.

Also since it is a handgun, the firearm is already registered as a non-assault weapon with CA DOJ.

the state already knows you have it. i would just register it as a raw.

I agree. Both pistols and AWs are registered in the same AFS system at the state level.

They didn't start making the KRISS unit after pistol registration started, so your gun is already in a state database.
