    What Walther is this?

A few years ago I remember seeing a Walther pistol in a store. The polymer frame had a sort of black/grey pattern in it that resembled faux Damascus or some type of G10 or something. I can't seem to find any photos or info about it anywhere. Does anybody know?

I know they had a carbon fiber model. But that wasn't it.

Nope. It probably has some special edition name or something. Like the PPQ [LIMITED EDTION] or something. The frame has this swirled stippled pattern that is black/grey and looks sort of like a faux damascus.

Actually, looks just like this, but it's not the PPS First Edition (which is pictured here). Were there any other Walther models with this frame treatment? I remember the one I saw in the store had a deep thumb notch and a slightly different slide.

        Oh! I found it!

        It's called "Anthracite" frame.

          Looks like an enlarged fingerprint.

That looks like the P22 (22LR caliber).

The serial numbered part is a metal piece that is removable from the plastic grip housing, so if you buy a regular California safe P22 that is on the roster, you can change the plastic grip housing to whatever else is available (from Walther), but I looked and couldn't find any spare plastic grip housings .
