    Colt prices

I just purchased a collection from an estate. There are a some doubles in the collection that I think I'll get rid of. I'm curious of the values they would fetch in the California market. I don't care about top dollar, just curious about a fair price and quick sell. These guns are like new, no box. Or should I shut up and keep them? The paperwork was so thick, staples wouldn't hold, I had to have two packets.

    B70 Colt 1911 Govt model.

Colt ace of the same vintage, late 70s early 80s.

Why sell them? I know eveytime that i sold something that I could never buy again I felt pretty ****ay after the initial happiness of cash wore off.

Then again, it's Christmas and I'd be happy to get an early gift. Just saying....

I abide by that way of thinking, unless I have doubles or triples.

          My Grandfather taught me:

          Always pay your debts

          Never hit a woman

          Never sell a Colt

          So far I'm 100%

I've sold a few..only if they are doubles or triples.

What should I price these at?

They look like they are worth $10 each, but I'll give you 20.

Pictures and would be useful. Hard to just say "Make X, Model Y is automatically worth Z."

If must sell, sell them IN California, you'll be doing a lot of us a big act of kindness.

                            Good luck.

I say, if you've got doubles or triples, sell them to someone in CA who will appreciate them. Don't go the Gunbroker route, keep them in state!
