Wilson Beretta custom work - worth it?

OK I realize 'worth it' is subjective. But I'm thinking of sending my 92A1 in for the custom carry package, G conversion, dehorn and shorten+reverse crown barrel, plus other misc extras.

Has anyone sent their Beretta back to Wilson and did you like what you got back?

I know there was a recent thread where Wilson did a pretty bad checker job on the back or front strap, which would be part of the work being performed to mine. It kind of freaked me out a little so now I am having second thoughts...

It will be a very nice Beretta, and a treat to shoot. But it will still be a Beretta- all of the same pros and cons. My FIL has one, action tune and sights were the biggest improvement to me. Looks bad *** too. I've been holding out, weighing it against buying a cz for cajun work or seeing if springfield is taking work orders in January

Worth the investment! I bought a beautiful old Italian Inox 92F that suffered from mushy trigger. Sent to Wilson Combat for Trigger Action job, sights, some other goodies. Trigger now light, crisp, smooth. Can't put it down.

I think it is well worth it, however, you may want to reconsider the current G conversion. The new drop-in G levers are due to be released from Beretta this month. They will not require slide modification, so you will be able to go between G and FS levers easily.

It was my Beretta 92G-SD that their hand checkering messed up my pistol. Other than that, the work was beautiful. My pistol was already a decocker only, so I didn't need to do the conversion. I got rid of my FS and only have G Berettas, because I did accidentally flip the safety switch on when racking the slide, so my Beretta preferences are only with the G models. For the WC parts, I changed them all out and also polished the trigger contact points myself and the trigger is smooth like butter. However, the 92G-SD stock trigger is nicer than normal Berettas, so I would recommend the action work if it's any other Beretta models.
